About The Competition
Open to chefs aged 18-30, the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition is an illustrious platform that seeks to identify the most promising young chefs around the globe. The competition allows these burgeoning talents to showcase their culinary prowess and, more importantly, to network with the crème de la crème of the chef community. This year, the Grand Finale will be held in Milan on October 4-5, 2023.
Meet Jet Loos
Representing the Netherlands, Jet Loos emerged as the winner of the North Europe Regional Final with her signature dish, 'Flavours of the Sea.' Jet currently works under the mentorship of Dick Middleweerd, the chef-owner of the two-Michelin-star De Treeswijkhoeve restaurant in Waalre, Netherlands.
In her own words, "I truly believe that the most important element is to have passion for food and cooking. Having passion in what you do will help to drive you to work harder every day."
Our Collaboration
Our collaboration with Jet involved crafting the perfect presentation boards for her signature dish. The idea was not just to hold the food but to complement the flavors, the textures, and the aesthetics of 'Flavours of the Sea.' Just like Jet, we believe in good, 'clean' craftsmanship, and we wanted our boards to resonate with her culinary philosophy.
